Number bonds help to create a mental image of how numbers are made up. With enough practice of adding two numbers together or subtracting one number from another, the number bonds are committed to memory and can more easily be recalled at any time.
On the first screen you are able to choose the number bond game to play by clicking a button to either increase or decrease the set you would like to try. The numbers range from 10 to 100 in tens. Then click on the Play Addition or Play Subtraction button to play adding or subtracting number bonds.
In the game you are presented with a Hoopla game of pegs with different values above them. At the top of the screen you are shown a problem with a missing number. Using your mouse, click on the number peg that you believe is the answer. For example 5 + ? = 10, the answer is the number 5, so you would click on the peg marked 5. Your mouse pointer will turn into a hand when over any peg on the board. Each level moves up the number bonds in tens and a certificate is awarded after each set of questions.
Download The PC Version (Our full PC Windows versions generally have more features e.g. printing, saving certificates etc.)
